About Us

A Hospitality Project Rooted In Morocco

Founded by lifelong friends Omer Lascelles Lloyd and Victor Arnoux. Built around surf, food, movement and hospitality.

Our Story

We have known each other since birth. We grew up together in Mohammedia, Morocco. Surfing the Atlantic coast. Exploring creativity through different forms. Building friendships through shared experiences. Template emerged from a shared desire to create meaningful experiences and share the people, places and traditions that shaped our lives.

Why Morocco

Template could only have been born in Morocco. The country shaped our values, culture and relationship with hospitality. We want people to discover a side of Morocco beyond tourism. The real communities. The artists. The surfers. The food producers. The people.

Our Home Base

Everything started with a house in Ouassane, Cap Sim. The property was renovated entirely by us and became the first physical expression of Template. Today it serves as our home, our creative space and the starting point for many of our experiences.

Omer Lascelles Lloyd

Surfer, coach and painter. Born and raised in Morocco.

Omer started surfing and painting at the age of five. Growing up on Morocco's Atlantic coast, he developed a deep connection to the ocean and a lifelong curiosity for creativity in all its forms. With more than fifteen years of coaching experience, he believes surfing is more than a sport - it is a way of understanding movement, style and self-expression. While longboarding became a major influence, his philosophy has always been rooted in exploring a wide range of surfcraft and approaches to wave riding. Alongside surfing, painting has remained a constant practice. Influenced by a creative and teaching family, Omer developed a visual language inspired by landscapes, surf culture, abstraction and everyday life. Through Template, he brings together his passions for surfing, art, hospitality and community.

Victor Arnoux

Chef, filmmaker and surfer. Born and raised in Morocco.

Victor caught his first wave before he was even born - his mother surfed while carrying him, and the ocean has been part of him ever since. He grew up in a family rooted in both restaurants and image, where hospitality and storytelling were part of everyday life. Influenced by Moroccan and French culinary traditions, he developed a deep appreciation for sharing meals and bringing people together around the table. Alongside food, storytelling has always been central: he moved naturally toward filmmaking and documentary work, telling the stories of the people and places around him. He also founded l'Classic, the first classic surf festival in Morocco. Through Template, Victor brings together his passions for hospitality, food, surf and storytelling.
